Numbers Please

I have just finished stripping the old paint off the firewall of my 30 Coupe. I found no Idenification numbers on it anywhere, is this normal? I have also been searching for numbers on the cross member, seat pan and just about anywhere else, Am I looking in the wrong place here? I am hoping to find any indenifiaction that would tell me where my car was made. I suspect Omaha, NE but so far I can't confirm it. Thanks in advance Rick
