John,
Later this year I will be transporting my 30 Tudor over 1,200 miles. My plans are to rent a Car Carrier from Penske Truck Rental.A Car Carrier transports your vehicle with all four wheels off the ground.I would not even consider a Tow Dolly to move the A.You are taking great changes on damaging you new Antique Auto. The front wheel bearings and races could fail.

I would recommend if you are going a few hundred miles to check over the Model A and then drive it home at 45 mph.If you are going the distance then move it on a Car Trailer.

If you use Penske you must rent their truck to pull the trailer. So check out U-Haul for a Car Trailer you can pull behind your automobile.Inspect the Car Trailer well before using it.One advantage of Penske is their equipment it is 1995 or newer.I have rented from Penske I like the condition of their vehicles.
