: Can anyone help me with the paint code Vermillion for the wheels on a "31" Coupe I'm using the old Ditzler repaint book and that code is #1412 also I want to use PPG Delstar Acrylic Enamel with hardener, could somebody also tell how much hardener is used per qt. and what would you recommend for reducer amount.

Bob, As far as the paint code goes, there are no codes or formulas created by any of the paint suppliers for Model A colors. Even the code you refer to was a substitute that was chosen by Ditzler from available colors that were current at the time. There are some retail suppliers around the country that supply paint from formulas they have created. Maybe some other readers can suggest possible sources.

Keep in mind there is no telling what you will get. If you are particular about the color tone, I suggest you ask for a color sample in advance. If you are concerned with authenticity, then I strongly recommend you get MAFCA's Paint and Finish Guide to see what the original color looks like.

Good luck,
Marco
