In the past 35 years I have towed a Model A thousands of miles....even cross country..using a draw-bar...I really don't recommend it...it is a real pain...and can be dangerous..I have broken a frame...I suspect that it had cracks and the stress just let go...and I even had a drawbar (VW type) fold up on me in a tight corner...removing the drag link does allow it to turn easier but sometimes the wheels lock in the wrong direction in a slow tight turn...anyhow it is a pain..
What I did was finally buy a first-class trailer... it is easy to load..tows super...has electric brakes..hooks up in seconds and just relievs all that stress of towing with a tow bar...
A good trailer only costs about $1600 and when you decide to sell it it is always easy to sell for $1000....I have been towing with a trailer for about six years and feel it was well worth the investment...good luck...Joel
