: i know that for a brief period in 1928 the brake rods were 'non-adjustable'.does any one know if the emergency brake rods were non ajustable also...or did ford leave the adjustable rods in service?

Jim,
The parts books show the rods as A-2864 with no suffix (-A,-B etc.). This means there never was more than one version!!! In addition, with the intro of the separate emergency brake (which was the same time period) Ford said to never adjust for wear by taking up on the pull rods.

Anyway, thats the background leading to the answer that all emergency brake (pull) rods were adjustable. Now you can relax and know you don't have to chase another item!!!

Regards,
Marco
