Fred,
From your posts I can tell that you're coming along with your A, feels good to see come together doesn't it? Us lower 48 might think we be seeing the northern lights but it's Fred on his first chassis cruise with a bright smile ear to ear!

In one of the 5 books how to "Restore your A" There is an article on fly wheel, clutch housing and bell alignment. This would be good to follow, it highlights some commonly over looked measurements. I did checks/ adjustments in a wood engine stand but I think you could do it with the engine in the chassis.
Good luck and let us know how it goes,
GW

: Happy Days are here again,
: Just recieved the rebuilt short block back from complete overhaul.$1800.Labor, I suplied parts.ouch! The rolling chassis is sitting here with the front end attached to the bell housing and everything including trany is installed except, clutch and flywheel. My question is; How do I proceed with lining the engine to the flywheel to the tranny? Should I disconect the bell housing from the frame and attach to the block with the tranny still in place? Is it ok to install the timing cover and mount the engine before putting the head on etc.etc.Thanks in advance for the help. Best Regards,Fred
