: Is the Mitchell Overdrive a replacement for the present Transmission ?Has anyone had expierence with The Ryan or others ?Thanks for any input.

: I installed a RYAN overdrive unit in my 30 Cabriolet for the 1995 Great North American Race from Ottawa, Canada thru the United States to Mexio City, Mexico. It was over 4,400 miles abusing operation of the drive train. To date, I have approximately 10,000 miles on the unit. It has performed without any problems whatsoever. The overdrive is a bolt in unit just ahead of the differential and comes with a replacement torque tube and shaft. It gives you a total of 6 forward gears and 2 in reverse. I have used all 6 forward gears but only 1 in reverse. I highly recommend it.
