I've had a lot of success in finding bearings, seals and similar items at the local Bearing House.
They can work from the items involved and do not necessarily need a sample, although a sample makes it easier.
The last items obtained were front wheel bearing seals for my 50 Plymouth coupe that were unavailable at several of the Mopar old parts suppliers as well as every dealer in a 30 mile radius.
Just look in the yellow pages under "Bearings".
