Bob,
You are absolutely correct.There is a lot more detail and pitfalls to watch out for that are included in the article by Bill Reeder.That is why awards for technical articles in the Restorer are given in his name.The article is three pages long with photos.I was only trying to summarize the procedure.I wouldn't encourage anyone to head out on this without the full article to follow.
