Any of the parts suppliers listed in the MAFCA web page can provide a very nice reproduction hood that is nearly complete as is.You will need some hood corners in addition to the actual hood itself.

There used to be some inferior quality hoods floating around that were no "bargain" in that they were not accurately reproduced and required extensive additional hardware to make them serviceable (i.e. hood rods, handles, hood clip brackets). These don't appear to be listed currently in my parts catalog (Snyder's) but it may be well to inquire to your supplier of choice as to completeness and accuracy of the assembly.

You may be able to reach some of the parts suppliers here in the states and get a better deal on an original hood.I have seen these for as little as $50 American (or even less at the flea markets). However, you take a chance in getting what you pay for and also in the shipping to Australia.Keep in mind with this option that you are probably dealing with a hobbyist that is selling parts out of his garage and the vagaries of off-shore shipping are likely beyond their experience and capabilities.

For my money, I would probably stick with a known, albeit, more expensive option. An acquaintence who lives in England (normally right hand drive) and owns a Left hand drive American Model A (figure this) regularly buys from a name brand American parts supplier and gets excellent service.

Let us know how you make out and if you're satisfied with your shipment.

Best regards,
Joe
