: : : Does anyone out there know of, installed, or fabricated amechanical to hydraulic brake conversion kit for a Model A?I am doing this for my neighbor, who is even less computer smart than i am.I have searched the net, but to no avail.Does anyone else have a website on this conversion.Any info will be appreciated.Thanks. Yes...use early Ford V-8 brakes...there are a few folds selling instructional books in Hemmings and I know Sacramento Vintage sell parts as well as some guy in Paradise California (Hemmings) and some guy in Arizona...probably bunches more.. Its a straight forward conversion...although you will have to notch out the rear backing plates to make them fit properly..I took mine to a muffler shop and had them make a pocket...and welt a cover over the pocket so the emergency brakes would fit. |
