: i noticed the posting re the 31 victoria. does the may 31 firewall change apply to the s/w fordors also?mine is murray #886 and has the earlier firewall style. engine no. is in dec. 30 range,looks like it could be the original engine, but i havent got to the chassis no. yet.is any information available on production dates and quantities for the murray bodied cars? it would be nice, just for curiousity, to know when and where mine was built.

I used to own a 31 SW Town Sedan 160 B, my car was A4147022, I think Nov 30, motor matched frame, non indented firewall. It was a murray body with sun visor on the drivers side only. It had a brass plate attached to the firewall above the steering column which was put on by the dealer when the car was sold. It read The Litsinger Motor Co, Haymarket Square, Chicago, Ill, and had the date stamped into the plate 4-13-31. It was one of the earliest known SW Sedans some years ago. It did not have a body number that we could find. I sold the car in 1984, and I think it is still in the Big Rapids Mi area.
