The best way to remove a rusty ros is to use lots of penetrating oil and see if you can work it out about 1/2" with pliers or punch. If you can get enough to grab with an electric drill, then use it to slowly spin the rod and pull it out. When putting new rods in, stainless steel ones are best.Good luck!

: DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DISASSEMBLE A 31 HOOD IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO RESE THE SIDE PORTIONS. I HAVE A HOOD THAT EXCELLENT TOP HINGE AND SHEET METAL BUT THE SIDE PORTIONS ARE BEAT UP. THE EXISTING HOOD HAS EXCELLENT SIDES BUT A WASTED HINGE. WHAT TOOL WOULD OU RECOMMEND FOR THIS SURGERY????
