Bill is correct..freeplay is 3/4"...the clutch should engage about 1 inch off the floor and that freeplay at the top should be about 3/4"..often when the clutch wears out folks keep adjusting it until it does not engage until the clutch is almost all the way out...and the freeplay is gone..
