Your speedometer may be giving you a false reading. Try to check it using another car going at say 45 MPH. A good friend had the same problem and found out that he was actually going 53 MPH when his speedo said 45 MPH. If your sppedometer is reading correct, then you'll have to look into your speedometer, which might need to be rebuilt or the gear on the speedometer housing located on the bottom of the torque tube might have the wrong number of teeth.
