Model A Reproduction Info

First, thanks to the webhost for this site. I am looking for information concerning the reproductions made by the delorian Company in 1981-82.
I am doing this research for my uncle, so I do not know if this topic is frowned upon; if so, I do apologize.
Specifically, I am searching for information concerning prices, typical engines, brakes, and numbers made.
I appreciate any assistance (including telling me this is a sore point among real collectors). I have found no information on the reproductions, and can understand a potential reluctance.
