I purchased the Aires SS mufflur a little over a year ago. I had bought one of the $60 ones the year before and didn't like it. I first read the back pressure tests that Ron Kelly did compared with my cheapo, there was a difference.

I never was happy with the cheap because it took a lot of work to get it to fit right. It also was very load and extremly uncomfortable at all road speeds above idle. It also bent very easliy if hit with anything heavy.

The first thing I noticed with the Aires with how well it fit. It only took 10 minutes to install and I was taking my time!

I was and still is very quite, there is a big difference between it and the $60 one. I want to also say that no matter how much I spend spend on something, if its junk I'll say so.

Its taken a beatting at times and still looks and sounds good.

Yes, it is more money and if you don't drive your car much, then it may not be a cost effective expense. But if you put some seroius miles on your A then I would recommend it highly.

There are 2 SS mufflurs on the market now and I have no experience with the other brand. I made sevearl attemps to call the maker, but no one ever answered the phone. I like to speak with the people I do business with, so I called the owner of Aires and never looked back.
