The last muffler I bought I paid $50 or $60 for about ten years ago, the only problem I had with fit was the flare at the exhaust manifold. It wasn't enough of a flare to allow a good seal and allow the clamp to do its job. I took it to a local muffler shop and they enlarged the flare and it has worked beautifully ever since. (They warned me that it might split in the process, but I wasn't going to use it the way it was so I told them to have at it).
It also has that Model A "SOUND" we all love.
