Or just screw a 1/8 pipe thread tap into the hole and snug against the oil pump housing....

God Speed Under 50.

The Model A Fool.

: Mark,
: When you remove the oil galley plug in the side of
: the block remember that it's 1/8 pipe thread. Not 3/8
: S.A.E.
: What I do is drill a hole inan old brass 1/8"fitting
: and tap it to 1/4" U.S.S.Screw the fitting in the oil
: galley hole and then screw a 1/4" bolt in the fitting long
: enough to hold the oil pump. then when you put the
: plug back in the threads aren't fouled up.

: : I recently purchased an "older restoration" 30 Tudor.I recently pulled off the oil pan to inspect the engine. My question is, When reinstalling the pan, Is the oil pump suposed to "hold" itself in the housing (block) while I line up the pan? Do I use the side hole set screw to hold the pump in place?HELP!!!
