: I have decided to install an electrical disconnect switch on my A.Most of the A's I have seen and the parts catalogs show the switch mounted on the firewall.I would like to keep the switch inconspicuous.Mike's A Ford-Able Parts suggests mounting the switch in front of the seat riser on the steel (body ?) cross member. It looks like I will need to drill away some wood under the member to make the switch fit. What do the pro's recommend ??

Tim...I thought about what you said...and what I did was to install one of those fuse holders on the battery terminal...when you remove the fuse you disconnect the entire electrical system from the battery...it attaches to the terminal on your starter...

if you just take the fuse...it is impossible to start the car...everything is dead..no chance of shorts...and it is easy to install...easy to use and best of all.....CHEEP
