:I did not mean to bad-mouth Firestone --- just the plugs that are being sold as Model "A" plugs, as mentioned they are not correct.And as for Champions they are the only other ones I tried.

Hi Jim
You sure didn't offend me and i don't think anyone should be offended. The point i was attempting to make is that all plugs will fail at times.Because "I put a new set in last month" don't mean that i may not have a bad one now.I remember puting a set of boush plugs in a VW and one of them failed before i could back the thing out of the garage.
