Andy;

There is no easy way to remove the engine and transmission but it is not as difficult as other cars.You need to remove the radiator assembly and the floor boards inside the car.You can then unbolt at the torque tube and the front support.Using a motor gantry attach to the motor and then remove the rear supports.With a little practice you can do this in less than an hour.

For an engine storing I build a box using 2" x 8" material.I think I used a 10" inside width by 26" long.You have to cut away for the dent for the oil pump.On the cross pieces on both ends I make them about 24" long to add stability to the box.If your going to re-build your engine, a standard engine stand works fine.
