Floormats for 82A CC pickup inquiry

This question is for any of you "square cab" pickup or AA truck owners.
My truck when I got it had no floor mats or way to attach them.I understand that small studs were used to keep the floor mat from moving around.I have examined my floor area and there are at least 6 and possibly 8 places for the studs to be located.(4 at the pedal areas of the floor, 2 just below the front edge of the seat and possibly two on the brackets at the bottoms of the door pillars.)
Can anyone who has a similar truck tell me their setup, i.e. were studs used in this instance and their location(s)?
I note that the two "possible" stud locations at the bottom of the pillar do not line up at all with the prepunched holes in the floor mat.The others all fit "ok" as you might expect from a "modern reproduction" mat.
