: What are the differences between late T PU boxes and the A narrow box? Thanks for the help.
The model T box I have observed sits squarly over the wheels as opposed to the A box which is slightly offset to the back. This makes the side panels diffrent with diffrent reenforcement ribs, a small but important diff.In addition, the early A beds sat on the subrails of a roadster which required again an entirely diffrent box suframe rail as opposed to the later beds which sat on the wood rails without the roadster subframe. The early pu's used a complete roadster subframe on which the bed sat and I would guess the same wood blocks that the roadster used for mounting it on.The bed subrails for early trucks are thus distinctive because they flare out to fit on the r'ster subframe in the middle appox. where the wheel is.I havent seen this style of subrail reproduced.
