three horns would be correct for the dec 27,ames with convex screen 3/8"(wrench size) flange nuts, two vertical bars with the adjust inbetween. the e.a. with 13/32 flange nuts and convex hump on the motor cover, and the mounting bolt adjust close together.or the sparton flat or convex screen 7/16 flange nuts, and no marking on the bell/motor base.
as you seem to be interested in detail...you should pick up a copy of the judging standards, exellent reference even if you aren't going to the show.

: Can someone please tell me what is the correct horn for an early 28 (dec 27)?My brother Darrel (not to be confused with my other brother Darrel, both in Vermont) found me 3 horns: one is an Ames, and has Ames stamped in the motor flange and the front flange. One is an EA, and has EA stamped on the motor flange and the front flange. The other is an EA, and has EA, Brooklyn New York on the rear cover. Are any of these appropriate for this truck, and if not, which one is closest??

: Thanks, Bill
