Hi, the emblems were originally pressed in (Blue ones, this doesn't work w/ the later '31 all stainless ones) On the back of the emblem is a cup shaped washer, after installing them the 'flange' on the washer is pressed down (towards the emblem. Most repros were patterned off a used emblem, so come with the flange already bent down. On these, or a removed original, *Carefully* VERY CAREFULLY!!! straighten the flange using needle nose pliers, DO NOT!!! pry up on the washer, as it will come loose from the emblem! When you are done, the flange should be parellel to the emblem back, and be too large to fit in your shell's hole. Now find a socket that will just fit over the hole from the back, so it is supporting the front of the shell. Using a small piece of hardwood over the emblem, carefully press it into the hole. I find this easiest to do on the floor, using some wood blocks to support the socket, so I'm not stressing the shell. Done correctly, your emblem is now as secure in the shell as when Ford's workers did it. You could add a little epoxy or something else if you think you need the insurance.
Hope I've described this well enough to be usefull.
