Also, when downshifting, it helps when in neutral with the clutch released, to quickly blip the throttle to increase engine revs to achieve synchronisation. Then depress clutch pedal and "grab another gear". A gentle hand helps avoid grinding. Also, I just replaced 90W tranny fluid with 600W, it makes for easier grind-free shifts.
