I to have had simmilar problems with my car.I live in AZ and know exactly what you are talking about, when it comes to the heat!If you have a repro. gas cap check to make sure that you don't screw it on to tight. They don't vent as well as the originals. That would give you the problem that you described. You might want to turn it about 1/4 turn. The other problem could be vapor lock.Next time it does that feel the fuel line, if it is to hot to touch, then something is wrong. You might have to make a small spacer to fit between the carb and manifold. One more thing to check is make sure there are no non stock fuel filters or shut off valves in the fuel line. Those tend to restrict the fuel flow, and cause the problem you described.

: I had a simaler event about a year ago.

: After dragging the thing home, I spent the rest of the day cleaning and checking the fuel system, jets, lines, filter, etc.

: On day two I replaced the condenser. That fixed it.

: Regards from Maine, Eric
