: : I have a 29 coupe and Ihave been trying to get the speedometer to work for 5 years. I have changed the connection at the Speedometer dash and the underside housing is correct. I have purchased a New Speedometer and new cable housing and have purchased all of the cables from Mac's and Brattons. It seems the cables are all about 1/4 in two short. The current casbles spin out when installed! Any Ideas?

: You need to ask Chuck Bertschi in Richardson, TX. He's on something like "Navajo Trail" or something on that order. Do a People Search for Charles Bertschi in that city. He's top-notch on speedo's. Hope yours is a Stewart-W.

They can fix your speedometer but it sounds like your problem is not in the speedometer but in the repro cable.I've heard these can cause untold problems.
Perhaps you could borrow one from a fellow member and see if this helps. If so, then be on the lookout for a good original and send the repo back.
