: Hi guys..

: I seem to recall when the diode conversion appeared on the scene, and there was controversy regarding the one to use, and the collective opinion was that the diode to use is the Motorola HEP 151 as it was the original and seemed to have all the characteristics to make it work well. Not an electrical person, just seemed to recall that plus I used the HEP 151 in my first Model A with no problems at all.

Hi

I installed a motorola HEP151 in my original cutout over 20 years ago and it works great.I went looking for one a few years ago, to make another cutout, but was told the hep151 was no longer available.I know that several places sell ready made units, but dont know what is inside.Does anybody know if there is a replacement for the hep151?
