But when that went bad he made the Model A four. : Bob Interesting article.Back in the Seventies, the Henry Ford Museam in Dearborn had a whole bunch of experimental engines from this period on display (back in a dark back corner of the museum, btw). Included were several versions of the X8. But, even more interestingly were several based on the T and A engine, which were V layout engines. Some had two T blocks "married" with a unique oil pans to create the V. Others had specially cast T blocks, cast siamese to create the V shape. I didn't pay much attention to the A based engines, as I'm a T guy. I wonder if these are still on display? There were enough experimental engines from the period to fill a book! I'd buy it! |
