Hi Larry
I just checked for the location of the build date on my `29 truck.Open the hood on the driver`s side. It is within an inch and above the 1st and 2nd bolts and about 2 inches in from the edge of the tank on the driver`s side.Sometimes they are stamped upside down.They can be a bit hard to read especially if the fire wall has been painted a few times.The numbers are stamped in so, they should be there.Can be hard to read, though.

: I read with interest about the build date posted a few days ago. I printed the input and the picture and headed out to the Model A barn. I still dont see it. Mines a commercial AA built in 1928, by all other indications ( instrument panel, steering wheel color, etc.) Were the AA's different in there markings? Do I need a magnifying glass or has these numbers wore over the past 70 years. Thanks for the help. And the picture posted well Bobby.
