Tim,
My 30 Deluxe Coupe has the body number stamped on the cross sill in front of the seat frame just about even with the back of the drivers heals.Stamped DSXXX for Dallas.

: : Hi Walter,
: : Welcome to the hobby. One would think after 70 years that we would know everything about these cars. I have been collecting and researching the body assembly plant numbers found on some but not all cars. I have collected over 120 assembly plant numbers to date and am still looking for more. As Jim noted the date on the firewall was stamped when the body was completed and very probably the same holds true with the assembly plant stamp. Most of the assembly plant stamps have one to three letters that indicate where the car or body was assembled. Ford had 32 assembly plants in the U.S. during the Model 'A' days each of which I believed stamped the bodies. The digits that follow the letter code are probably a one up number by assembly plant (this still needs to be proven). When I put the F series Tudor numbers in date order by either the engine/frame number or firewall date, the digits following the F proceed upward in order. I am fairly certain that the F series number was used by the Michigan facility as several of these bodies went to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa for final assembly. I think the bodies were shipped in primer to the final assembly plant. This information is posted on the MAFCA web page (www.mafca.com/assembly.htm). I would like to add your Tudor to my data and would appreciate getting the data as noted on the web page. If you know the origin of your Tudor that would certainly help.
: : Thanks,
: : Dave
