G'Day All,
Just a small point of interest & that is the method of attachment of the lining material to the shoes has no effect whatsoever on its co-efficient of friction. No disrespect, but I think what Rick was getting at is that the correct/original woven type material was normally rivetted on whereas the modern type lining (which doesn't stop you so good) is normally bonded onto the shoes. I've relined my shoes with the woven type lining & bonded it on because I have the facility to do so.

: Hi Pat.Any good machine shop can arc your brake shoes to the drums (as well as turn your drums.)Make sure you're using linings that are rivited on and not bonded to the shoes (too hard) and make sure your drums are less than .100 oversize (the shop will check them for you.)

: If you get any leads on that Sacto shop that will work on Model A brakes happily, please forward their name/address to me for the MAFCA Suppliers list.

: Thanks!
