During the 80's I ran a Pinto conversion with a V/8 transmission conversion in a restored '29 P/U while living in San Francisco.This was my only transportation.

I probably drove that truck 20 or 30 thousand miles.I was happy with it but don't think I'd do it again.Performance isn't any better (if that's what your after), but you don't have to worry about the rod and main bearings.Though it kinda sounds like one, it's just not a Model A.

The guy I sold it to converted it back and no one was the wiser....Oh, by the way, this Pick-up's mechanical brakes never failed to stop me safely!
