Fred,
You have a point about changing the tranny for a better running car.Of course, you then have to think about the brake pedal, motor mounts, etc.
I'm not saying I like the idea of a Pinto Motor conversion, but one of the big plusses is that it can be converted BACK to a Model A engine by the next owner who decides Henry knew what he was doing, afterall.
