: I recently aquired a 1929 town sedan. My plans are to rebuild from ground up. The car is 95% original and in fair condition. It has never had any restoration done to it, in side or out. I have been collecting the standard catologs for model A's . My question is, is there a manual or book thatI can aquire that will help guide me through this project? I am not restoring for show but would like to keep it correct and original when possible. I'm having a ball so far!

thanks Jerry

Hi Jerry

My suggestion is that you first take several pictures of the car to document the originality of the car and also help you in reassembly.
Joining both local and National clubs will help to ensure that you will have the proper information to restore the car to orginal specifications. Most Clubs have individuals and members that have a wealth of information concerning the Model A ford.
I just recently finished a 1929 Murry Town Sedan(155-A)that I got in 15 bushel baskets, chassie and a body. With the help of many talented members and many hours of reading I finished the car. The more complete your car is the easier the Restoration.
Just remember lots of pictures, Model A Juding Standards, the MAFCA "How to" books and your in business.
Good Luck and many happy and fun filled years of pleasureful driving.

Vince S.
