The new linings come with small brass rivets.After sandblasting and repainting the shoes, I borrowed an old rivet press (place shoe and lining on a small platform and a foot pedal presses the end of the rivet and folds it back properly) from a local farm machinery dealer (many dealers have an old one "in the back somewhere", I've found!)Worked great.
