: I'm going to repaint mu Chassis and undercarriage. What type or brand of paint would you recommend. My phaeton is a driver not show. : Thanks in advance, : Hugh Smith : Hampton, Virginia Hi Hugh I used Rust-olem on mine in 1973. It still looks good.If you want semigloss you can mix equal parts of Flat Black and Gloss Black. I would highly recomend using the Rust-Olem thinner if you are going to spray. This paint takes a while to dry but it will last a long-long time. You can paint your entire chasis for less than the price of a half pint of hardner for some of the super paints. The super paints are great and i use them on modern cars but they were not available in 73and after seing how the Rust-olem held up--I'm sold. Ben Jenkinsonbrjenk@sccoast.net |
