Haven't seen the inside of an A transmission yet, but based on what I know about sliding gear trannies in general, you probably either have a bad bearing or gear(s) that are worn.Remote possability of a bent shift fork.If it is a bearing, I would assume you should be able to hear her howl when you drive (but I have seen really bad bearings that surprisingly didn't make much noise either).I would pull at least the top off the trans. at your nearsest opportunity and take a look, to avoid any potential damage to componants that still may be good.

: While driving up an incline in 2nd gear, my 1930 Model A 4 door sedan, slips into neutral. I can prevent this by holding the gear shift lever, but I'm afraid I may have some serious problems developing. Can anyone offer any advice?
: Thanks!
