David,
I do not think that the driver or passenger have too much an effect on the frame since their weight is distributed by the body frame. However since the rear engine mounts are connected to the frame with minimal rubber pads when the car hits a big bump the weight of the engine and transmission is felt at the rear engine mounts. As for the left vrs the right my car had about equal on both sides, about 1/2 inch.
