I recently purchased the lining for the emergency brakes for my Model A. Removing the bands and riviting the new lining onto the emergency bands was no problem. However, when I tried to replace the brake drum back on the car I discovered that the overall new lining diamater was to big and would not let the brake drum fit on at all. I rechecked all the adjustments and they are at the minimum settings or adjustments. The linings seem to be about .020 oversize per side. How do I get them to fit? Do I need to file the lining? Are some of the linings to thick? Do they need to be arcked? Or what, Help. Dean West |
