Larry,
I have seen Model "A's" equipped with the V-8 "thrifty-sixty."
It seemed like a good idea at first, but after I saw how the car performed I was not impressed.
I have been driving Model "A's" for quite a while now and I have found them to be very capable of safe road speeds.We have to remember that you are working with historic pieces here so experimentation in the power department may do more harm than good.
I think your time would be better spend by restoring an original engine and installing it in your truck.
