: I have a '29 briggs fordor (60-c) that I am restoring and the only thing I don't have and can't find is a front seat. . I need everything from the floor up including riser and seat adjusting hardware. My question is can I use a seat from a 170b deluxe (1930)? I know it isn't the right seat for the car but I have a line on one and if it's as close as I can get I'll take it. But, will it fit?

According to LeBarons, these seats were a little "mixed up" anyway.A lot of the time (they say) the seat that should be there isn't.Therefore...As long as your fordor is an adjustable seat type body, you should be able to use any seat from a '29, '30, or '31 (not a slant window) although you may have to modify a riser somewhat to fit it to your wood.I'm guessing not much.I don't think the subframe rails are all that different. When you order your upholstery kit, they'll ask you which front seat you have a give you a sheet with pictures of them all.
