The distributer is held in place vertically by the screw which you have removed. It is also held from turning by a pin that engages a hole in the top of the cylinder head. The portion of the distributer that fits into the engine head is about 25mm in diameter, and 40mm long with a slot cut that matches the location of the locking screw.

The distributer cam shaft came in two types. The earlier ones were one piece and extend all the way to the drive gear at the engine camshaft. The later ones are two piece and the distributer shaft ends about 30mm from the bottom of the distributer body on the bottom. In both cases there is nothing about the distributer shaft that can hold the distributer from coming out

Over time, there can be rust forming in the distributer hole in the head which tends to lock the distributer in place. If this is the case, prying up evenly from both sides of the distributer with two screwdrivers, and rocking the distributer slightly from side to side while prying. When the Anti-rotate
pin is free from the head, turning the distributer body can help. Some penetrating oil or kerosene in the lock screw hole and around the body can help. The distributer body is pretty strong, but don't force it any more than you have to. the important thing is to get it moving a little, then work it up and out. The first 5mm wil be the hardest.
