Bobby,
It's good to here you want to have a "real" Model A someday.Actually, it would be a better plan to go ahead and find some sort of "real" A to start out with. The Shea reproductions have little in common with the real thing except outward appearance. As I recall, at the time they were sold new, you could get a driveable original for about the same price and I would suspect that the resale value is considerably more for the real thing.Plus you will probably need to do some work, replace worn parts etc. on the Shea and you would get more experience and knowledge from keeping an older restoration going than trying to keep the Shea going.Depending on where you are, there is very likely a club near and the folks in the club are usually more than willing to help a new member with any thing that needs to be fixed.I has some real reservations about going on my first tour with the club and actually made it fine. But those that did have some kind of breakdown usually couldn't get near their car because others wanted a shot at fixing it.I can't say all clubs are like that but many are and most Model A enthusiasts like to see them running.I realize this is just my opinion but consider looking for an older restoration that you can drive to enjoy and work on to make it better.I think you'll be way ahead in the long run.
John
