I have a 28 tudor and heard that p/h gtenerators were only about the first 800k or so.. what is your s/n? I have one at s/n 573171. I asked a local auto- electric shop about it and they said they could test it (and my starter) but I havent been there yet w/ model a stuff ( not that far along yet), the've done my modern car alt/ starters to my satisfaction. so i guess i'de trust them w/ the "a" stuff ... try a local dealer and have it tested if you have one.. sorry if not the help you were looking for
