: The "How to restore your model A" series by MAFCA is quite good particulary the first two volumes. Page's book "Model A Ford Construction operation and repair" is chatty, elementary, based primarily on the '28 models and doesn't include much practical detail. The "Service Bulletins" are worth the money.

I've been restoring Model A's for 20 years and there is NO best book. Every one of them has good and different info about the A. Depends on whether or not you're restoring for "SHOW" of "GO". In any event ALL are important. My recommendation is to find someone locally ( best thru a local club ) and borrow some books to see what's important to you. It'll cost you a fortune to buy them all. I guess over 20 years it doesn't feel like that much but if you're just getting started, try borrowing and by all means ,-----join a local club.
Good luck-- Don Harrington
