: I am looking for the beginner's reference book or guide on
: Model A Fords. Yes, I would rather have a nice restored model A
: than a new Corvette. For many years I have been dreaming about
: owning and or restoring one. The local book stores have no model
: A books. Online I located a nice listing of books from MAFCA.
: After reviewing the list many of the books sound interesting.
: But which one or ones are best for the beginner to learn about
: the model A. I would like to learn as much as possible before I
: search for my A. Pictures, Technical data, colors, drawings, specs
: would interest me.

Tim,
The "How to" series from MAFCA would be my first recommendation, the service bulletins next, and Jim Schild's "Restorer's Model A Shop Manual" would be next and last but not least would be a copy of the MAFCA/MARC "Model A Judging Standards and Restoration Guidelines". A membership in both MAFCA and MARC and getting in touch with the local MAFCA & MARC chapter(s).
John
