I have a '30 2 Dr. Sedan that is in original unrestored condition. I felt tha same way.. I did all the minor cosmetics and all the mechanical myself. When I felt it was time to redo the complete body, I took it to 2 people who do restorations for their bussiness. They both told me to leave it alone unless I wanted to go for show car status.. Then they said everyone would totally pick the car apart. The way it is it looks like a used car but after you restore it people will expect it to be perfect. So I installed a new interior (Labarron) and have been satisfied since...

: I have a pretty decent little 31] standard coupe. For being as old as it is it is really pretty nice. When I first began to notice "A"s about 30 years ago this kind of car was more common. Now I mostly see Older restorations or "trailo Queens" that have all be worked and reworked. It is funny, I have been working on a 31' sedan for about 6 years now and I am falling out of love with it because I can not drive it. The old coupe fires up every time and I can put 5 miles on it an a local drive and feel real good. It still has a pretty good original interior. I have fixed minor stuff such as worn distributor bushings and a leaky exhaust manifold. I hate to start anythinh too big on the coupe for fear that I will take so long fixing it that it will become a long drawn-out bother. What do you guys think? Also. I am real new at computes too, so I hope this message gets to where it might get read. So long!
